Terms of use
These terms of use apply to your use of trw.co, including our insights, legal tools, case-journey guides and consultation booking pages. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

About these terms
The website at trw.co is operated by TRW & Co (Tahmidur Remura Wahid), a law firm with its office at House 410, Road 29, Mohakhali DOHS, Dhaka 1206, Bangladesh. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean TRW & Co, and "you" means anyone who visits or uses the site.
These terms should be read with our privacy notice, cookie policy, and legal and regulatory notice, which also apply to your use of the site. If you instruct us on a legal matter, your engagement letter and our terms of business will govern that work, and will prevail over these terms if there is any conflict.
No lawyer-client relationship
Using this website, reading our content, using our tools, sending us a message, signing up for our newsletter or booking a consultation does not by itself create a lawyer-client relationship between you and TRW & Co.
A relationship begins only when we have completed our conflict checks and confirmed in writing that we will act for you, on terms we agree with you. Until then, we owe you no duty to advise or to act, and we may decline any enquiry.
Please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information until we have confirmed that we can act. Sending information to us before that point does not prevent us from acting for another party on the same matter, unless we have already received information from you that would make doing so improper.
General information, not legal advice
The content on this site, including articles, guides, glossaries, calendars, trackers, case journeys and tools, is general information about the law and procedure. It is not legal advice and should not be relied on as advice for your circumstances.
Law and practice change, and the way a rule applies depends on the facts. Fees, time limits and procedures set by courts, authorities and regulators may change without notice. Before acting, or deciding not to act, on anything you read here, take advice from a qualified lawyer on your specific situation.
Where our content describes the law of a country other than Bangladesh, it is provided for context, and you should take advice from a lawyer qualified in that country.
Legal tools and case journeys
Our legal tools, case journeys and court guides are designed to help you understand typical steps, documents and timelines. Results are indicative. Real cases can take longer or follow a different path because of court workloads, adjournments, amendments to the law, or the conduct of other parties.
Some tools let you enter information or save preferences. Unless a tool states otherwise, what you enter stays in your browser and is not sent to us. Do not rely on a tool's output to calculate a limitation period or a filing deadline without checking it with a lawyer.
We try to keep our tools accurate and up to date, and we show review dates where we can. We do not promise that any tool will be error-free, complete or available at all times.
Translations
We publish some content in English, Bangla, Chinese, Hindi, Arabic and Spanish. Translations are provided to help readers and may not capture every legal nuance. Where a translated page differs from the English version, the English version is our reference text, unless the page says otherwise.
Official texts of Bangladesh legislation are published in Bangla or English. Where an Act provides that its Bangla text prevails over an English translation, that rule applies whatever our pages say.
Consultation bookings and payments
You can book a consultation through trw.co/book. When you book, you must give accurate contact details and a brief, non-confidential outline of your matter so that we can check for conflicts and prepare. A booking is confirmed only when you receive our confirmation email.
Your confirmation email contains a link to reschedule or request cancellation, within the time shown on the booking page. We may decline or cancel a booking, for example if a conflict of interest arises or the matter is outside our practice.
Any fee, cancellation or refund terms shown on the booking page when you book form part of your booking, and any refund due is returned to your original payment method through SSLCommerz.
If you pay online, the payment is processed by SSLCommerz, a Bangladeshi payment gateway, and is subject to its terms. Card details are entered on SSLCommerz's pages, not on trw.co. A consultation, by itself, does not mean we have agreed to take on your matter.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including rights under the Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009 in Bangladesh or under the consumer protection law of the country where you live, where that law applies to you.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the site lawfully and not to:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server or any connected system, or interfere with its operation;
- introduce malware, run automated scraping at a scale that affects performance, or try to bypass security features;
- use the contact, careers or booking forms to send spam, abusive content or false information, or to impersonate another person;
- misrepresent any connection with TRW & Co, or use our name, logo or content to deceive others;
- use the site in a way that breaks the law of Bangladesh or of the place where you are.
Unauthorised access to computer systems (section 18) and fraud using cyberspace (section 22) are offences under the Cyber Protection Act 2026 (Act 81 of 2026). We may block access, remove content and report misuse to the authorities.
Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the text, guides, tools, graphics, design and code on this site are owned by TRW & Co or used under licence, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws, including the Copyright Act 2023 of Bangladesh. The TRW & Co name and logo are our identifying marks.
You may view, print and share our pages for your own information or for non-commercial use, provided you credit TRW & Co, link to the original page and do not alter the content. You may not republish substantial parts of the site, reproduce our tools, or use our content to train or build a commercial product without our written permission.
Some images are supplied by third parties under their own licences. Statutes, court judgments and official forms we quote remain subject to their own terms.
Links and third-party services
Our site links to official websites, legislation databases, courts and other third-party sites. It also uses third-party services such as Google Maps (loaded only if you choose), Google Fonts, an image delivery network, WhatsApp click-to-chat and SSLCommerz, and offers share links for LinkedIn, X, WhatsApp and email. We provide these for convenience.
We do not control their content, availability or privacy practices, and a link does not mean we endorse the site.
If you want to link to our site, you may link to any page, provided you do so fairly and do not suggest any association with or endorsement by us that does not exist.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the site available and accurate, but we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time, including tools and guides, without notice. We may also update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised, and the version in force when you use the site applies.
Our liability
We provide the site and its content free of charge for general information. To the extent the law allows, we exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its content, or from the site being unavailable, including indirect loss, loss of profits, loss of data and loss of opportunity.
We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Our liability for advice given to clients is governed by the terms of each engagement, not by these terms.
Under the Contract Act 1872, an agreement with an unlawful object is void (section 23). These terms are intended to operate only within what the law permits, and if any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms, and any dispute arising from your use of the site, are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. The courts at Dhaka, Bangladesh, have jurisdiction over such disputes.
If you use the site as a consumer from another country, this does not take away any protection given to you by the mandatory laws of the country where you live, or your right to bring proceedings there where that law allows.
