Cookie policy
This cookie policy explains which cookies and similar technologies trw.co uses, why, and how you can control them. In short: visitors receive only one essential cookie, which records their cookie choice; we load Google Maps embeds only if you allow them or click to load one; and we do not use analytics or advertising cookies.

What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser so it can recognise your browser on a later request. Similar technologies include browser storage (such as localStorage), which lets a page save small amounts of information on your device, and embedded content from another provider, which can set its own cookies when it loads.
In this policy, "cookies" covers all of these unless we say otherwise. Some are set by us (first-party). Others are set by another company whose content appears on our page (third-party).
Our approach in brief
- The only cookie we set for visitors is an essential one that remembers your cookie choice. Our own staff receive sign-in cookies when they sign in to manage the site or bookings.
- We load Google Maps embeds, on our contact page and in some guides, only after you choose "Allow maps and embeds" or click "Load the map".
- Some legal tools, and the booking page, store small amounts of information in your own browser. This information is not sent to us.
- Share buttons, social links and WhatsApp links are plain links. Nothing loads from those services unless you click.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, social media tracking or cross-site profiling cookies. When we checked the site on 24 October 2026, no analytics or advertising trackers were found.
- If we ever add an optional analytics or other non-essential tool, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first, where the law requires it.
Essential cookies
These are first-party cookies that the site needs in order to do what you ask. They do not track you across other websites.
- trws_c | Type: essential, first-party | Purpose: remembers whether you chose "Allow maps and embeds" or "Essential only", so that we do not ask on every page | Duration: 1 year; you can change it at any time.
- trwb_portal | Type: essential, first-party | Purpose: keeps members of our team signed in to the internal booking portal; it is not set for visitors or clients | Duration: up to 12 hours, or until sign-out.
- Staff sign-in cookies | Type: essential, first-party | Purpose: keep our staff signed in while they manage the site; they are not set for visitors | Duration: for the sign-in session.
Booking a consultation does not need a cookie: the time slot you choose is held on our server for about 20 minutes while you complete the form and any payment. Because the cookies above are strictly necessary, we do not ask for consent to set them.
Optional: Google Maps embed
Our contact page and some of our guides, such as the Dhaka court guide, can show interactive Google Maps views. When an embedded map loads, Google receives your IP address and browser information and may set or read its own cookies, under Google's privacy policy.
- Google Maps embed | Type: optional, third-party (Google) | Purpose: displays an interactive map | Loads: only after you choose "Allow maps and embeds", or when you click "Load the map" on a particular map | Duration: set by Google.
Until then, you see a placeholder with an "Open in Google Maps" link, which opens the map on Google's own site in a new tab if you wish. Our address is always given as text: House 410, Road 29, Mohakhali DOHS, Dhaka 1206, Bangladesh.
Browser storage used by our tools
Some of our legal tools, such as the tracker, calendar and guides, use your browser's localStorage to remember preferences, for example your view or display settings or items you have marked. The booking page also uses your browser's sessionStorage briefly.
- Tool preferences | Type: localStorage, first-party | Purpose: remembers settings and selections within our legal tools | Sent to us: no | Duration: until you clear it in your browser or reset the tool.
- trwb_last | Type: sessionStorage, first-party | Purpose: remembers the service, date and time you chose, so that the booking page can show you the result after you return from the payment page | Sent to us: no | Duration: deleted once shown, or when you close the tab.
We treat this as part of the service you have asked for. You can clear site data for trw.co in your browser settings at any time. The tools will still work, but your settings will reset.
Third-party resources that load with our pages
Some content on our pages is delivered from other providers' servers. These are not cookies set by us, but your browser contacts those servers, and they receive your IP address and basic technical information in order to deliver the content:
- Google Fonts | Purpose: delivers the typefaces used on the site | Notes: requested from Google's servers when a page loads.
- Unsplash image delivery network | Purpose: delivers some photographs used on the site | Notes: requested from Unsplash's servers when a page loads.
The following are used only if you choose to use them:
- Share links (LinkedIn, X, WhatsApp, email), WhatsApp click-to-chat (wa.me) and social links | Notes: plain links; nothing loads from those services until you click, and their own terms then apply.
- SSLCommerz | Purpose: processes online payments for bookings | Notes: its pages may set their own cookies, under its policies.
- Listen button on articles | Notes: uses your browser's built-in speech synthesis on your device; the site sends no data for this.
We do not receive personal data from these providers about your visit.
What we do not use
trw.co does not use:
- analytics or audience-measurement cookies;
- advertising, retargeting or conversion-tracking cookies or pixels;
- social media plug-ins that track you before you click them;
- fingerprinting or other techniques to identify you across websites.
We do not sell or share browsing information for advertising. We do not combine the limited technical information our server receives with information from other sources to identify individual visitors, and our server logs are used only to keep the site secure and working.
Managing your choices
When you first visit, a banner lets you choose "Allow maps and embeds" or "Essential only". Both choices are equally easy to make, and the site works either way, apart from interactive maps. Choosing "Essential only" does not limit access to our content, tools or booking system, and you can still load a single map by clicking "Load the map".
You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer. If you withdraw consent, maps will stop loading automatically from the next page you open. Cookies that Google has already set can be removed through your browser settings.
Most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies and site data. Look for "Privacy", "Cookies" or "Site data" in your browser's settings. If you block all cookies, the banner may reappear on each visit.
The legal framework we follow
We are not aware of a cookie-specific rule in Bangladesh. The Personal Data Protection Act 2026 requires consent to be voluntary, specific, clear and withdrawable, and given with information about purpose, retention, transfer and how to withdraw (section 5(2)). It also requires transparency about how personal data is processed (section 15). We apply these standards to the cookies and embeds described here.
For visitors from the UK and EU, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (as amended, including by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025) and the EU ePrivacy Directive (Article 5(3)) generally require consent before non-essential information is stored on, or accessed from, a device, with limited exceptions such as strictly necessary storage.
Our approach of essential-only by default, with maps loaded only after consent or a click, is designed to meet these standards.
Changes and contact
We will update this policy if we add, remove or change any cookie, storage item or third-party service. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
If you have questions about cookies on trw.co, email info@trw.co or call +880 1708 000660. For more on how we handle personal data, see our privacy notice.
