Getting to our Dhaka office

Getting here

TRW's office is at House 410, Road 29, Mohakhali DOHS, Dhaka 1206, a planned residential area between Mohakhali and Banani. Visits are by appointment only, Saturday to Thursday from 09:00 to 20:00; the office is closed on Fridays. Book a time at trw.co/book before you travel, and give your driver the full house and road number.

From Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport the office is about 7 km to the south in a straight line, along the Airport Road corridor; the Dhaka Elevated Expressway also runs past the area. Journey times vary widely with traffic: allow about 20 to 30 minutes at quiet times and an hour or more at peak times. These times are indicative only.

From Banani (about 2 km) and Gulshan 2 (about 3 km) the trip is short in distance but can be slow at peak hours. From Motijheel (about 6.5 km) allow 30 to 60 minutes or more. Distances are straight-line estimates from OpenStreetMap; road distances are longer. Carry photo ID and your booking confirmation in case you are asked for them at the entrance to the DOHS area.

Courts and offices nearby

The Supreme Court of Bangladesh, which houses the High Court Division and the Appellate Division, is about 5.5 km south in a straight line. The Dhaka Judge Court and the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court are in Old Dhaka, about 8 km away; in traffic the journey can take an hour or more, so build in time before a hearing.

The Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC) has its offices in the Kawran Bazar area, about 3 km south-west. The National Board of Revenue's head office is in Agargaon, about 2.5 km west, near other government offices. Invest Bangladesh took over BIDA's functions from August 2026; confirm its current office address before visiting. All distances are indicative straight-line estimates.

Meeting remotely

Many clients outside Bangladesh do not need to visit. Consultations can be held by video or telephone, and documents can be exchanged by email. Book at trw.co/book: the system sends email confirmations and calendar files, includes a link to reschedule or cancel, and offers optional online payment through SSLCommerz, a Bangladeshi payment gateway.

Where a signature is needed in Bangladesh, a power of attorney signed at a Bangladesh mission abroad usually lets an attorney act for you, and supporting affidavits can be sworn before a consular officer. Whether you can join a court hearing remotely depends on the court and its current practice: on 3 May 2026 the Supreme Court suspended its Wednesday and Thursday virtual sittings until further notice.

Before you visit

Bring your passport or national ID and the documents the meeting is about: for land, the record of rights (khatian), deeds, mutation papers and tax receipts; for a case, the plaint, orders and notices; for a company, the certificate of incorporation, memorandum and articles and recent returns. Copies are fine for a first meeting, but bring originals if documents are to be signed or certified.

Foreign documents for use in Bangladesh may need an apostille or legalisation first; see the NRB country desk. Bangladesh Standard Time is UTC+6. Check public holidays before booking, because courts and government offices close. To change a booking, use the link in your confirmation email, write to info@trw.co or call +880 1708 000660.
